Engage Your Fall-Wheel Drive!
Let’s get dirty!!!
RMR-PCA is excited to hold an off-road tour for 2021!
Do you like Colorado railroad history or want to learn a little more about it?
Our tour takes us over Boreas Pass. Boreas Pass runs between Como CO and Breckenridge CO and reaches an altitude of 11,482 feet. The pass was initially created by the Denver South Park & Pacific (DSP&P) railroad company and was completed between 1881 and 1884 to serve the lucrative Leadville market. At the top of the pass there are a few buildings, an old railroad car and several informational signs explaining the history of Boreas Pass.
Since Boreas Pass is out near Fairplay and Breckenridge, we will need to get an early start to make our lunch destination by noon. You will need to arrive gassed up and bathroom breaks done by 7am to check in. Mandatory driver’s meeting at 7:15 am. Seatbelts on and rolling out at 7:30am.
