July 14th Social – Largest Gathering of Porsches
Jul 14 @ 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm

Hi Porsche Friends!

238 ½ cars at the 2021 Largest Gathering of Porsches…can we beat it?

“The Largest Gathering of Porsches” our premier social event of the year, is July 14th starting at 5:00 p.m.! We are anticipating 250+ Porsches and 450 club members, but we can’t do it without you, so plan on bringing all your Porsches! Our event venue this year is at Blue Chip, 3935 S. Kalamath St., Englewood, CO 80110. Because of the tremendous turnout in years past, please only bring Porsche vehicles. We will be attempting to break our current record of 238 1/2 Porsches on-site! We will be strategically parking cars to accommodate our large contingent of Porsches – there will be attendants on site to help get everyone parked. Of course, beer, wine, soft drinks, and water will be available. There will also be a couple food trucks onsite for any hunger pangs you may have!

Jul 16 all-day

Registration ends Sat, Jul 9, 11:59 PM MDT

Our annual Triple Quadruple Bypass Drive/Tour is coming up on Saturday, July 16, 2022!  We will be using a different route for this year’s tour — our destination for lunch is the Red Mountain Grill in Dillon.  We are going out US 6 and up through Clear Creek Canyon, hop on I-70 to Georgetown, then over Guanella Pass – US 285 over Kenosha Pass and Red Hill Pass to Fairplay, and finally over Hoosier Pass into Dillon.  This will be a fantastic drive with scenery galore and a couple stops along the way.  The drive distance is a bit over 130 miles and will get us into Dillon at about 1:30 for the first run group. There will be a rest break in Georgetown and Fairplay to use the facilities and refuel if necessary.  We have made arrangements for an excellent lunch at the Red Mountain Grill in Dillon.

The RMR Grand Loop Tour is a unique opportunity to visit some of the Rocky Mountain West’s most scenic places. In an epic 4 day tour, drivers and their companions will travel with like-minded Porsche enthusiasts starting from Ft. Collins. This extensively planned, 700 mile driving tour bypasses dull interstate highways in favor of more exciting two-lane highways. These roads are often marked in blue on road maps. Travelers may encounter antelope, bison, elk, deer, and even a moose or a bear, so stay on the lookout for wildlife and bring your best camera! The tour officially ends in Durango, Colorado. Adventurers may consider taking the opportunity to use Durango as a pivot point for a Utah or Arizona Parks adventure before heading home.

The tour begins on WEDNESDAY morning, July 27th leaving Fort Collins, CO heading north to Laramie, WY. The drive crosses the Snowy Range with a private lunch in the small town of Encampment, WY. Tour leaves the Divide Restaurant continuing west across Wyoming before turning south at Baggs, WY, and then back into Colorado. The route ends in Palisade, CO for two nights at our favorite Wine Country Inn. Here we will enjoy a wine and hors d’oeuvres reception on Wednesday evening.

THURSDAY we will enjoy a bus tour around Palisade to visit wineries, a distillery, and a fruit farm/stand. We may possibly even go to an Alpaca farm! Lunch will be included. Since the tour begins at 10am and returns around 3pm, you would have time to visit another business close by or drive to Enstrom Candies in Grand Junction.

The day concludes with a wonderful buffet dinner at the Wine Country Inn.

FRIDAY we regroup for a short drive to Gateway, CO, for admission to the Gateway Canyons Auto Museum. This grand location houses the privately-owned Hendricks Collection that displays 100 years of American automotive history. Lunch at the Gateway Canyon Resort is

included. Driving resumes south through the fabulous Gateway Canyon on the way to the final destination, Durango, CO, for two nights.

SATURDAY in Durango gives participants 2 choices. One choice is to be on your own to explore Durango and vicinity. Another choice is our optional ride on the Durango & Silverton narrow gauge railroad to Silverton.

This Optional Activity ($143 per person) includes a step back in time as we enjoy a leisurely trip to yesteryear riding 3 1/2 hours on the Durango & Silverton train. With 2 hours in the historic mining town of Silverton we are able to enjoy the sights, shopping, food, and libations. Return to Durango is via the deluxe motor coach bus.

SATURDAY: Final banquet dinner at the Strater Hotel.
