Registration opens March 1st at 7:00pm

SAVE THE DATE!

TIRE RACK STREET SURVIVAL SCHOOL

May 7th at EVOC (Douglas County)

A 16-year-old is 20% more likely to be killed in a crash than an adult. The fatal crash rate per mile driven for 16-19-year-olds is nearly 3 times the rate for drivers aged 20 and over. Risk is highest at ages 16-17. (iihs.org)

RMR, in collaboration with RMC BMW CCA, will be holding a Tire Rack Street Survival School on May 7th! The school will be held at the Emergency Vehicle Operation Center (EVOC) facility, south of Titan Road near Sterling Ranch in Douglas County. For $95, teenagers with a driving permit or driver’s license will get a full day of driving, classroom sessions, and lunch. Event capacity is 35 students. (Parents, no car club membership is required to sign up your teenager.) Registration opens March 1st at 7:00pm at www.streetsurvival.org  We expect this event to fill quickly!

“When your teen driver attends a Street Survival school, we teach them to control your car in unpredictable situations based on its handling limits. They learn how to make good driving decisions and react more quickly. They become more aware and learn how to begin anticipating the actions of other drivers.” (streetsurvival.org)

Tire Rack Street Survival needs volunteers! Volunteer registration is open now at  http://msreg.com/sscomay2023

Are you the quickest air 911, Boxster, Turbo, Macan?  This event is a great chance to try out your new found skills and to compete against the clock.

We encourage you to register if you are new to the club, new to your Porsche or other favorite four wheel means of transport, want to improve your driving technique or simply want to enjoy your Porsche in a safe environment.  This event will be held at the Colorado Air and Space Port, formerly known as Front Range Airport.

Are you familiar with Autocross?  Autocross is a performance driving experience conducted in a safe environment at relatively low speeds (2nd gear).  You will not hurt your car and more importantly you will not hurt yourself.  Autocross is a lot fun and provides small doses of adrenaline rush that will keep you smiling for days. You will gain additional confidence in your driving ability, learn the limits of your car’s braking capabilities, practice correct seating, hand, feet and vision positions, as well as push and perhaps exceed the limits of your tire’s adhesion capabilities.

By the way, autocross is a huge social event and a great time to meet new club members and visit with friends.

If you can volunteer to assist the chair in setting up the course and other activities to make this a successful event please contact us!
