AMR/RMR Gold Belt Tour
Sep 23 all-day

Registration opens Aug 31 at 6pm, limited to 40 cars

Our September driving tour will take us along the Gold Belt scenic byway that runs through Fremont, Park, and Teller counties. Before we reach the Gold Belt scenic byway, we will drive the Skyline Drive in Cañon City, a paved, one-way road that follows the razorback ridge west of Cañon City. Skyline Drive is a road you will want to experience at least once!

Our next route takes us to the Gold Belt Scenic Byway which will take us on all paved backroads to Cripple Creek where we will conclude our driving tour at the Cripple Creek Heritage Center where you can explore the history of the area with great views of Cripple Creek.

The tour will end at the Cripple Creek Heritage Center, where you can learn about the history of the area and answer questions on a quiz for a chance to win some swag!

While in Cripple Creek, you can experience a taste of the past by descending into the Mollie Kathleen Mine, visit the Homestead Parlor House or riding the Cripple Creek & Victor Narrow Gauge Railroad. There are also casinos, shops, and restaurants, as well as a melodrama in the historic Butte Opera House.

We look forward to having you on this great tour of the Gold Belt Scenic Byway, Cripple Creek, and Skyline Drive in southern Colorado.
